Job Opportunity - Trainee Property Manager

Do you have a full clean driver’s licence, excellent IT Skills and a practical knowledge of property maintenance plus lots of enthusiasm.

We are looking for a Trainee Property Manager to join our busy, friendly team here in Perth. Initially the successful candidate will be carrying out viewings etc., however, you will also be trained to take on properties to manage on your own fairly soon. Along with a Full Clean UK driving licence you must have good communication skills both written and verbal and be computer literate. Accuracy and attention to detail is a must.

You must be able to prioritise all tasks, be able to work both on your own and as part of the team with excellent administration and organisational skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to enter the industry and be given the chance to deal with all aspects of letting as oppose to just one area. The successful person will be given a variety of 121 training, LAS courses and be supported through the PropertyMark Qualification. 

Your tasks will include

  • Looking after your own portfolio of properties and overseeing all properties within the business.
  • Dealing with all aspects of lettings process, marketing, viewings, application, inventories, check in/out, property visits, deposit submission & disputes
  • Dealing with ongoing property management and monitor maintenance/compliance via property visits
  • Book in maintenance from property visits and follow this up  
  • Liaise with Landlord and tenant as required
  • Dealing with accounts
  • Chase rent arrears
  • Assist in the day to day running of the office
  • Arrange annual safety checks
  • Marketing of the business

Skills required

  • An ability to calmly apply initiative and common sense in prioritising and managing a busy workload
  • A desire to provide a good level of client service
  • Full UK driving license
  • Good computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Strong organisation and administrative skills
  • A working knowledge of property management issues
  • Excellent communication and 'people' skills
  • Great knowledge of Perth and surrounding area
  • Hardworking and ‘can-do’ ‘attitude

Salary £16-£18k per annum.
